This article provides steps for taking a screenshot on your computer or mobile device.
It is best to include a screenshot of what you are experiencing so our Support team can further understand your reported issue or question. When dealing with technical issues, our team will be able to better troubleshoot and may even send you screenshots with instructions.
You can generally take a screenshot with your computer’s built-in features. Below are the steps you can take, using either the Windows or Mac OSX operating systems.
Desktop or Laptop
Windows
While viewing Peek, press “Print Screen” (sometimes seen as “PrtSc”) near the top-right of your keyboard. This takes a screenshot of your whole screen, even if you don’t see it happening. Generally, it will save to your desktop, or other default selected folder.
Mac
Press ⌘ + Shift + 4. This will display crosshairs. Click and drag to capture the area you wish to take a screenshot of. The screenshot will save to your desktop.
As a note, it is most helpful to take a screenshot of the entire screen.
Mobile Devices
iOS
Simultaneously press the home button and lock button. The lock button is likely on the right side or top of your iPhone. Once the screen has flashed, the screenshot will save to your Photos or Camera Roll.
Android (4.0 and above)
Press the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously. Once the screen has flashed, a notification will appear at the top of the screen to access your screenshot.
